Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
