Assassin's Creed Reveals Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
